Long polished golden amber pendant on a metal bail. To accentuate the very unusual inclusions in the amber, the pendant has been crafted as a kind of curved tear-drop shape, with a curved front and a flattened back. The only metal fittings on the pendant are a 1/4” bail and a tear-drop shaped eyelet attached to a metal rod fitted into the pendant. No markings visible although they could be unmarked silver. The pendant is 1 3/8” L x 1/2” W x 1/4” deep on one side, though its thickness is not regular throughout. The inclusions appear to be some large leaf-structures and some fine threads enclosed within the amber, and the craquelure in their structures creates a dimensional shimmer, like that of gold leaf infused into glass. Also, there are some milky-colored inclusions in the amber like none I have ever seen.
